Other Info: Sadie was brought to us when she was about 9 m old. She is very loving and much loved. She is a dominant female and can be possessive over items with other dogs, especially other females. She currently lives indoors with us and a female pitbull, a male lab/chow, and a male greyhound. She initiated an attack in the middle of the night against female greyhound which was deterred and the pitbull followed grey into other room and created extensive injuries to the grey. Belonging to greyhound rescue club, we returned greyhound to foster care for healing purposes, but we can not bring greyhound home until we have found alternative living situations for the pit and the Chessie. My wife and I are in the process of seperation and Sadie is a bit much for her to handle. I travel quite a bit with work and can not provide adequate home for her anymore. She is a wonderful dog, and needs an active lifestyle to keep her happy. She would be a wonderful search/rescue dog as well as a great friend. She is an indoor dog who sleeps with us/me and just always wants to be near me no matter what kind of project I am involved with. She is not very good on a leash, but someone who would spend time with her could resolve that quickly. I love her dearly, but it is important to me to find her a home where she will be happier than what she is here. I think with some proper training and exercise (daily), she would be well with other animals. She loves children and other ppl, but she is intimidating with her size and excitability.
