Bite Explanation: History of growling at one year old child. We intervened immediately and took Watson to behaviorist. He wasnplaced on fluoxetine and we went through behavioral therapy. He did well until a few days ago when he bit, but not harm or leave a mark upon, our now 2.5 year old daughter. This was unprovoked.
Commands known: Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Bathroom
Tricks: Touch, move it.
Other Info: Watson is a chessie/Weimaraner mix we adopted from the Shelby county humane society in Memphis at the age of 3yrs. He showed obvious signs of abuse with submissive urination, fearfulness, and his collar had been embedded in his neck. With love and shelter he became a new dog. The submissive urination resolved, and the fearfulness seems to be present only with certain male strangers. He is a great companion to our lab mix. Watson has done well, and moved all over the country with us. He did not, however, respond welll to the birth of our daughter, now age two and a half. We believe he would make a great companion in a quiet home without children.
