Many of you followed Hans’ journey, from being forgotten in a Utah shelter to finding an unexpected home with Dina, who originally planned to transport him to another foster but instead welcomed him into her family.
Dina gave Hans more than just a home—she gave him a life filled with love, adventures, and the dignity he deserved. Three months in a shelter was too long, and Dina made sure Hans didn’t just exist—he lived. From camping trips to hunt tests, weekly park visits, and swim sessions, she packed a lifetime of love and joy into one short year.
We can’t thank Dina enough for loving him and giving Hans wheels and the freedom to run with his friends, especially Music at the park.
Now, he runs free over the Rainbow Bridge, reunited with friends, whole and happy once more.
Run free, Hans. You were so very loved.
