Solo needs the Force to be with him…
Solo came to CBRR&R Northwest in July 2020 from a shelter that could not provide the level of care he needs. Unfortunately, Solo has a significant cleft palate. This causes food to enter his sinuses resulting in him choking and not hold food down.
In the last month Solo has had several veterinary consultations. Solo’s wonderful foster parents sat in a lot of veterinary parking lots waiting for him due to COVID restrictions . Finally, Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital was selected for the surgery. Their initial estimate for Solo’s cleft repair is $3500 to $4500. Surgery expenses include: exam, consult, blood work, anesthesia, surgery and a couple days hospitalization. Surgery is scheduled for November 4th.
Solo loves to swim in his foster family’s pool, rain or shine he’s ready to take a few laps. He also has his own personal pool. At only one year old, we believe Solo deserve a chance at a long and happy life.
