Thanks to your support and quick action, we successfully raised more than enough money to cover the cost of Red’s surgery in April. Thankfully, no teeth were removed. The lipoma removal proved more difficult and Red was in surgery for over 3 ½ hours.
Red has since completely recovered from surgery and is doing great. He has settled down nicely and enjoys daily walks with his 12 year old “sister,” Dixie, and follows his 2-legged mom around all the time. The early behavioral problems — pulling, fearfulness of people in general — are gone. He’s a lovable, goofy guy who can’t wait to play fetch or tug of war with his rope. Red was officially adopted by his foster mom. She give him a new name to go with his new lease on life.
