We adopted Moose in July 2018. He came all the way from Dallas, Texas thanks to 16 wonderful CBRR&R volunteer drivers. At the time, he was 6 years old and spent a lot of time in his crate. His owner gave him up and since he was being boarded, he needed to be placed quickly. We were hoping for a younger Chessie, so we agreed to foster/adopt.
Moose was here for one day and we knew he was not going anywhere. It was as if he had been here forever and we have never had any issues with him. He has brought us nothing but joy and we are so glad to have him. We could not have asked for a better dog!
Moose is so smart and he listens really well. I have always cleaned/scaled my dog’s teeth. I was not sure how he would handle the process, but he has been very good. I can’t say he enjoys it, but he cooperates. After Moose was here for about two weeks, we tried him off leash with no problems. He is off leash most of the time. We have a pond and of course he loves to swim. Moose is definitely enjoying his new life in northeast Washington.
